Time is of the Essence
Over the years the powers that be have implemented some pretty strict practice regulations, making it difficult for coaches and players to get all their work in. So, how does a coach with so much to do, and so little time to do it, manage this situation?
It’s more important than ever to be efficient and organized with that precious practice time. Every minute of every practice should be utilized to the fullest. Time is of the essence for training eager athletes and for developing team chemistry, and coaches will be hard pressed to find a more efficient training tool than MaxBP.

Station-to-Station
A great way to keep athletes engaged at all times is by using stations during practice time. Gone are the days of a bunch of guys standing around shagging balls, while one player takes their cuts in the cage. The best programs are finding ways for athletes to get as many reps as possible on a daily basis, and stations work wonders for this philosophy.
MaxBP serves as a wonderful practice tool in a station setting because athletes can work on hand eye coordination and vision by using MaxBP’s small ball training techniques. It won’t be difficult to make room for MaxBP in your teams station work - all you need is 20-30 feet between the machine and the batter, and the balls only travel 60-80 feet.

Better Backstops
MaxBP is a great training tool for developing hitters, however, it has so much more to offer! Any athlete who prides themselves in tracking, catching or hitting a moving object will see their skills improve when training with MaxBP. This includes one of the most important positions on the diamond - the catcher!
Over the course of the last few years, MaxBP has been instrumental in the training and development of catchers of all ages and abilities. Many college programs and professional backstops are using the small ball training for tracking, framing drills and blocking drills. It is also a wonderful opportunity for inexperienced catchers to learn the position because of its low impact on the body.

Vision Training
Hitting a baseball or a softball is widely considered the most difficult task in all of sports. Why else would a player be considered elite when they are unsuccessful less than half of the time? How does an aspiring ballplayer develop a knack for putting the barrel of the bat on the ball consistently? It takes more than practice - it takes a form of perfect practice - the type of training that incorporates physical, mental and visual repetition.
Athletes who train with MaxBP will be challenged like never before as they try to barrel a golf ball sized wiffle ball. This small ball practice will serve as an instrumental vision training tool, making the baseball or softball resemble a beach ball on game day. Advanced players should incorporate multi-color wiffle balls and use a BetterBat Skinny Barrel Bat for the most challenging training.

Pre-game Warm-up
Some teams have the luxury of a batting cage on their home turf. This provides a team with a distinct advantage of taking a round or two of batting practice and getting a proper warm-up before a game. But, what about those teams that don't have the means for an expensive batting cage? And what about road games? It's impossible to haul your cage along with you.
MaxBP is a portable and user friendly device that fits in perfectly with the rest of your gear on the team bus or van. It makes no difference if you’re playing an away game or if you’re at home - set your MaxBP on a tripod and get those cuts in. Your players will enjoy the luxury of getting honed in for the big game with MaxBP Reaction Training.

Defensive Drills
MaxBP is best known as a pitching machine that is designed to provide hitters with a challenging experience and unlimited reps. But in reality, it can be just as useful as a training tool for defensive drills. Do you have a middle infield that is inefficient at turning a double play? A third baseman who is having a difficult time staying down on the ball? Could your first baseman use some time practicing their stretch? MaxBP has you covered.
With the use of MaxBP’s pop-up attachment, outfielders will have the chance to gain valuable reps without the inconsistencies or manpower necessary to hit pop flies with a fungo. The pop-up attachment allows an outfielder to work on tracking, catching and footwork in a time efficient manner.

Budget Friendly
While batting cages and high-end pitching machines can cost a program thousands of dollars - specifically for batting practice - MaxBP Reaction Training costs a fraction of that price for hitting, catching, fielding and tracking drills! This is a great opportunity for low budget schools who are looking to get the most bang for their buck, and for programs with extra cash flow to spend on small ball training techniques.
No matter the school or the financial situation, coaches everywhere will have a difficult time making a more sound investment than MaxBP. What is the value of unlimited hitting, fielding, catching and tracking reps? It’s priceless. With MaxBP’s budget friendly price, athletes have a chance to experience endless training opportunities without breaking the bank.

Low Impact Reps
Many athletes who participate in year round programs run the risk of burning out or suffering a wear and tear injury. With this being considered, athletes should always be looking for ways to incorporate low impact reps into their regimen. Athletes who train with MaxBP will find that they can improve their skills in a variety of ways, including some drills that require no impact (tracking drills), and little impact in other drills.
By incorporating a BetterBat Skinny Barrel Bat into your MaxBP experience, a player will be using a bat that is approximately ⅔ the weight of a game bat. This provides a hitter the healthy challenge of hitting a moving object at high velocity, while enjoying more reps than ever with minimal impact on the body.
