The snow is coming down, the field is buried, and most players are tempted to hang up their gear for the day. But here’s the truth: great players don’t wait for perfect conditions. They train when it’s inconvenient.
When the snow piles up outside, your reps pile up inside. MaxBP is ready to help you turn a snow day into a skill-building day - right in your garage, basement, or hallway.
Here are 3 workouts you can do at home to keep improving, no matter the weather.
1. Garage Reps
- Machine as close as 15 ft
- Mix in soft toss
- Go through your BP progression
- 10 bunts, 10 opposite-field swings, situational
Why it works: Even small spaces can simulate at-bats. You’re building muscle memory, timing, and sequence - without missing a single rep.
2. At-Home Defense
- Receiving: low setting, 6–10 ft
- Short hops: stay low, beat the hop
- Alternate hands: R / L / R / L
- Quiet body. Soft hands.
- 30–50 total reps
Why it works: Soft hands and quick reactions aren’t built on luck—they’re built on consistent reps. Even a small space is enough to sharpen your glove work.
3. Bunt Work
- Work bunts against a wall, bucket, or taped target
- 10–20 reps each side (pull & opposite)
- Focus on deadening the ball and controlling angles
- Add situational scenarios (bunt for a hit, bunt for a sac)
Why it works: Bunting is a game-changer. Treat it like a skill, not an afterthought. Even inside, you can practice precision, timing, and control.
Bottom Line
Snow doesn’t stop champions. Reps don’t stop because the weather does. Every swing, catch, and bunt you put in now adds up to more confidence, more skill, and more separation on the field.
Turn your garage, hallway, or basement into a MaxBP training zone. Your future self will thank you.
